Legal Support for the Family of Dawood Masih
On April 8, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Dawood Masih, son of Farooq Masih, was fatally shot in Village Bhattal, near Sheikhupura. According to the information provided to OLA, Junaid, son of Jamshed, allegedly opened fire and fled the scene.
The family reported that the incident followed Dawood’s intervention in response to alleged harassment of Christian children in the village. According to the family, Dawood had attempted to stop the conduct before the shooting. The circumstances surrounding the incident are subject to the relevant legal proceedings.
Following the incident, the Organization for Legal Aid (OLA) visited Dawood’s family to offer condolences and provide moral and legal support. On April 14, 2026, the family signed a Wakalat Nama, formally authorizing OLA to represent them in the legal proceedings and pursue appropriate legal remedies.
