Arseen Masih Family

OLA Succeeds in Court

The Lahore High Court (LHC), Multan Bench, has directed the police not to harass Arseen Masih’s family unlawfully or illegally.

On October 28, 2025, an incident in District Layyah led to influential individuals accusing Arseen Masih’s family of kidnapping their daughter and lodging an FIR against his elder son, Mubeen Masih. Following the allegation, police repeatedly raided the family’s home, allegedly damaging property. During these actions, Arseen’s younger son, Musharaf Masih, was arrested and allegedly tortured for 18 days in an attempt to recover the girl.

Under constant pressure and fear, the family left Layyah and moved to Faisalabad seeking safety. However, police reportedly continued raiding the homes of their relatives, adding to the family’s distress.

On March 3, 2026, after approaching the Organization for Legal Aid (OLA), on March 5, 2026, OLA counsel argued that since the FIR names Mubeen Masih, the investigation should be limited to him and that other family members must not be harassed.

The Honorable Court accepted these arguments and issued directions restraining unnecessary harassment to the family.

The family has expressed relief and gratitude to the OLA team for standing with them during this difficult time. OLA remains committed to protecting vulnerable families and ensuring that justice is pursued lawfully and fairly.
